In just one week I will be heading up to the school for my training with the Guide Dog. I am very excited.
However, I have been sick for the past two weeks with a bad cold that just seems to get worse. I am still waiting for an answer from Medicaid so I still do not have insurance. I have taken a few days off to rest and try to get over this cough. I took today off and will likely take tomorrow off. I have had fits of coughing that have induced vomiting. Not very pleasant to say the least. I can not afford to miss out on going to this school a week from tomorrow. I must rest and get better. Luckily, I have sick/vacation time accrued so I am not missing any days of pay.

- I am a 35 year old American adopted at birth by a Jewish family and raised in a secular Jewish home. Latter in life I chose to become Orthodox. Upon doing so I discovered that I had to convert as my natural parents were not Jewish. I married and have two beautiful daughters. As I lived in my Orthodox community I grew more and more apart from my Orthodoxy. I am now divorced and live by myself in my children's neighborhood. I am currently working at a major camera & electronics store, and paying my child support. I work daily to get some positive direction in my life. Day by day my relationship rebuilding with my children has gone well. They have accepted me back in their life almost as if I never left. Sure, there are some rough times but our relationship grows after each and every one. I have two sweet, and loving children. I have also been working on my relationship with G-d. I have divorced myself from any organized religion and I am seeking out God in my own fashion. I stand at the threshold of my future and do not know where it will lead me. How exciting and scary at the same time!
