Day 3: Back to Work.

Today I went back to work. Ruffles did a great job working to and from my workplace. She had a minimal amount of sniffing and distractions. I was happy with how she worked. We still have a lot to improve on, but I like the progress we are making.

At work she laid out under my desk and slept most of the time. During my lunch break I took her for a walk around the block. She was getting a little hyper so I took her out for a walk. When we got back she plopped down uner the desk and went back to sleep. She is sooo cute!!!

After work, I went to see the girls and introduce them to Ruffles. They were a bit shy and timid and first which turned out to work for the better as it allowed them to take it slowly and approach Ruffles on their terms. If they had rushed her then Ruffles would have gotten excited and perhaps jumped which would have scared them a lot.

I must say I was very impressed with how helpful their mother was when they were with the dog. She helped them feed the dog treats and pet her. She was very patient and very helpful. For that I am very grateful.

I am going to see them again on Thursday. I am trying to arrange for the babysitter to bring them to my house as it is too early in my working with Ruffles to work her with other people walking beside me. Until we get a more fluid working relationship established it is not a good idea to introduce others factors. It hopefully will not take more than four weeks to get to the point when I can walk with the girls while working Ruffles.

Day by day.
