Nice Weekend.

This past Wednesday, I and Ruffles took a bus to my dad's house in New Jersey. I took a Greyhound but from Port Authority, and despite being short handed they were fairly accommodating for my disability. A friend of mine went to Virginia the weekend before and he did not have a good experience with Greyhound. Luckily I had a better time of it on my trip.

We spent the night there, and then he drove us down to my brother's in Maryland. Thursday night was my niece's Confirmation ceremony.

Ruffles was very well behaved during the trip. Although, during the night over at the hotel in Maryland she kept on jumping up onto my dad's bed. I wanted to put her on tie down for the night but could not find a suitable place to do so.

She was doted over by everyone there. My father has really taken to her which is different to how he reacted to my Husky in the old days. I am glad that he loves her as much as he does. My father has a bigger place than I do and he has a backyard with a sliding door leading out to the yard. He often had the door open with the screen door closed. Ruffles enjoyed the breeze as she laid out in front of the door. She also ran circles around his coffee table. I think that it was the first time I saw her run that much. I really need to get her to a dog park so I can play with her off leash. She really needs the run time.

We went back to his place on Friday and I spent the night there. We went out to supper with a friend of my father's, and Ruffles was very well behaved.

She is still sniffing a lot but her dog distraction is much much better.

We came back yesterday afternoon. Ruffles is still very tired from the visit, and I suspect that she will sleep the entire day away.
